This summary is for orientation only. The numbered sections below are the binding text.
01Independent status
You act as an independent contractor. Nothing here creates employment, partnership or agency. You are responsible for your own taxes, social contributions, professional registration and professional indemnity insurance, and for complying with the rules of your registration body when giving an opinion.
02Verification and accuracy of credentials
Access to review work requires verification. You must give accurate registration details and tell us promptly if your registration lapses, is suspended, or is subject to disciplinary action. Misrepresenting credentials ends access immediately and may be reported to the relevant body.
03Scope of a review
A review is a written professional opinion on the material the member submitted. It is not a site visit, a structural calculation, a code-compliance certificate, or a stamped drawing, and you must not present it as one.
Each review should:
- address the member's stated question directly;
- state assumptions and what you could not assess from the material;
- flag anything that needs a licensed professional of record, an engineer, or an authority approval;
- be your own work — you may not delegate it or generate it with AI.
04Claiming and delivering
Review requests appear in the reviewer queue with the fee and the delivery window. You are free to claim or ignore any request. Once claimed, the work is yours: deliver within the window or release it so another reviewer can take it. Repeatedly missing windows reduces or removes queue access, and the member's tokens are returned in full.
05Fees and payouts
The fee for each review is stated before you claim it and does not change afterwards. A delivered review is approved by an administrator, then held for 24 hours so the member can raise a dispute. After the hold expires, the payout is released to your registered payout account.
Where a payout is settled outside the platform, it is recorded as a manual settlement against the same review so that no review can be paid twice.
Rejected reviews — work that does not meet the scope above — are not paid, and you are told why with an opportunity to correct and resubmit where the member agrees.
06Confidentiality and conflicts
Project material you see in the queue is confidential. Use it only to deliver the review, do not retain copies beyond what your professional record-keeping requires, and do not approach the member outside the platform for the same project without telling us. Decline any review where you have a conflict of interest.
07Responsibility and liability
You are responsible for the professional content of your own opinion. We provide the platform, the payment rails and the verification process. Where a member claims your review caused loss, we will pass the claim to you and cooperate with reasonable information requests. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
08Ending the arrangement
Either side can stop at any time. Reviews already claimed should be delivered or released first. Approved payouts for delivered work survive the end of the arrangement. We may suspend queue access immediately in cases of suspected fraud, credential misrepresentation, or conduct that puts members at risk.
